We not only offer an extensive range of training but high quality, up-to-date consultancy services too. We’re proud of our consultancy services and they’ve proven to be a valuable asset to many companies of varying experience and size.
We aim to help you meet your security needs, adopt the latest security industry standards and gain recognition whilst improving the services you offer. To do this, we offer consultancy in the following areas:
ISO 9001 (2015 revision) Quality Management Standard
We’ll work with you to implement ISO 9001 to help you improve the way you manage and operate your business. We use the 2015 revised standard as this reflects the major changes in technology which have enabled different security working practices. It remains focused on demonstrating how security companies need to adapt to meet the requirements of their customers and helps provide you with a solid structure to your business. Compliance with ISO 9001 will also ensure that your organisation is in accordance with the requirements of the Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS).
Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS)
The SIA’s Approved Contractor scheme aims to raise performance standards in the security industry. This voluntary scheme covers those parts of the security industry that are regulated by the SIA and the Private Security Industry Act 2001. We’ll help you complete this scheme so that you can develop new opportunities because once you’ve met these standards you can then be registered as approved, which will attract and reassure your potential clients.
Risk Assessments of Venues
We’ll work with you to help you to assess and manage the safety requirements of venues. This will include aspects such as:
- maximum capacity for venues
- alarm systems
- health and safety issues related to staff and systems
- vetting documentation
- fire risk assessments and exit plans
We’re completely up to date with all the latest and relevant legislation and our knowledge and experience enables us to handle assessments of a wide variety of venues.
Health and Safety
You’re probably already aware that organisations have a legal responsibility to protect the safety of people related to their business. However, with legislation continually being updated it can be a struggle to manage health and safety effectively. We can provide health and safety consultancy solutions for your business whatever your size and number of people involved. You may need us to help you set up your health and safety compliance if you haven’t got any systems in place or to check that your existing system works as it should and are still compliant with legislation. We’ll assess what your business needs and help you implement the appropriate health and safety system.

We know that for your success, it’s vital you understand your business aims and therefore the skills you need to achieve them. By being aware of the skills and capabilities your employees have, you can be sure that the right people are doing the right jobs. We’ll help you identify the skills your business has now so that you can see any skills that you’re missing. Furthermore, we can also help you to keep your competitive edge by using the assessment of your existing skills to see what skill requirements you’ll need in the next few years; which may change through staff development or new business aims requiring new skills.
We understand that it can it can be a daunting minefield to recruit the right security staff for your needs but our consultants are here to help. We’ll work with you to fully understand how your business works/what your event needs and therefore what skills you need to match this. We can help you put together the right search to attract the appropriate candidates, saving you time as you’ll only need to go through relevant candidates and making the process of selecting from them, much simpler for you.
Event Safety Management
We’ll work with you to help you to assess and manage the safety aspects of the event you’re holding. We’ll look at what the event involves, numbers of attendance, the venue etc and advise you on your security requirements from fire risk assessment to a crowd management plan. We can advise what documentation you’ll need for these and help you consider areas including:
- event specific risk assessments
- safety briefings
- evacuation procedures
- contingency planning
- local authority liaison
- accident and investigation services
- incident management solutions
Our consultancy team can advise you on what you are legally required to consider for your specific event and make sure each of these elements are covered.
Tenders / EOI (expressions of interest) / PQQs (pre-qualifying questionnaires)
We can help you manage the process of tenders for work opportunities so you have the best chance of securing the appropriate services you need. We can help you in the early stages of the process by assisting you to seek out, review and assess Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for your opportunity. We understand that it can be difficult to know what to ask for in service providers and so we can help you put together and implement a pre-qualifying questionnaire (PQQ) which will ensure that all submissions you receive are all made in the same format and provide the same information, making it much easier and quicker for you to compare each. We’ll help you through the process and assist you in your search for the right security provider for your needs.
