Business Administration Apprenticeship Level 2
The Business Administration apprenticeship is designed to provide work-based training, development and new learning opportunities, to develop your knowledge and skills within the workplace. Every business needs effective administration and that need remains whatever else changes in terms of new products and services, new technologies and new organisational structures.
This Apprenticeship is ideal for developing skills and knowledge whilst working within the world of business. This qualification offers the unique opportunity to develop real work experience.
The apprentices duties and responsibilities will be working with a team member or a number of staff to handle various administration tasks. They may be typing up board meeting documents, putting financial information together in spreadsheets, sending the daily post, or faxing and photocopying confidential documents. This sort of work requires a strong sense of responsibility, accuracy and attention to detail.
The apprenticeship consists of an NVQ Certificate at level 2 and a technical certificate and functional skills.
At level 2 intermediate apprenticeship you will need to complete 34 credits from the NVQ and technical certificate mandatory units and 16 credits from the optional credits.
There are no formal entry requirements, but ideally the candidate should be educated to level 2 and must be working within the field and ideally working over 30 hours per week. All candidates will need to attend an information session before starting the programme. All candidates will need to undertake a literacy and numeracy assessment prior to starting the apprenticeship training.
Progression routes for Level 2 Apprentices could include moving on to a Business Administration Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3.
